Porter went home to be with her husband and family on March 6, 2019, in Heber, Arizona. MyrVee was born on May 3, 1932, to Velan and Mryl Call. She born and raised in Colonia Juarz, Chihuhua, Mexico.

She graduated from Gallup High School and completed two years at BYU. She lived in Heber since her marriage n September 6, 1952. She is a long standing member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.

MyrVee is survived by her children, James Alden (Dawna) Porter, DeVon (Kirk) Nelson, Rodney (Lissa) Porter, Pam Porter (daughter-in-law) and Myrlice (Buddy) Hooper; 19 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; brothers, Velan Call (Karen), Cliff Call (Mary), Robert Call (Gerda); and loads of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by her parents, Velan and Myrl Call; in-laws, Leslie and Alice Porter; her husband, Wayne Porter; her son, Velan Porter; and great grandson, Chandler Porter.
