Nancy Alford Prosser, age 71, of Lewisburg, TN, passed away February 2, 2019 at NHC Cool Springs. She was the daughter of the late William Howard Alford Jr. and Jane Wallace Alford and was married to the late Richard Darrel Prosser. She was a long-time member and active volunteer of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg and spent over 30 years working for the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services.

Mrs. Prosser is survived by her two daughters, Mary Gill Prosser Pride (Eric), Nashville, TN and Catherine Prosser Cunningham (David), Nashville, TN. She is also survived by two sisters, Jane Alford McBride, Huntsville, AL, Mary Alford Wellford (John), Atlanta, GA, one grandchild, Jay Prosser Cunningham, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Prosser will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, with Rev.

Mark Irvin officiating and burial immediately following at Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 325 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN 37091; The American Heart Association; or The Salvation Army Marshall County TN.
