Michael Swierz officiating for Nancy C. Melanson age 82, of Hubbard who passed away on Wednesday January 2, 2019. Nancy was born June 19, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA.

a daughter of Walter D. & Gertrude M. Houy Nadeja. She was a 1954 graduate of Hubbard High School. Nancy loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also enjoyed playing the piano and working in the yard. Her husband Edward O. Melanson whom she married June 20, 1959 passed away March 15, 1993. She will be sadly missed by her family; her sons Dennis W. (Andrea) Melanson of Blue Springs, MO.

, Richard W. Melanson, Gerald E. (Michelle) Melanson both of Hubbard, five grandchildren Ryan E. (Alina) Melanson, Andrew D. (Kayla) Melanson, Kristin N. Melanson, Mathew J. Melanson,Eddie Lee Melanson, and two great-grandchildren Henry and Gavin. She also leaves her brothers David (Margie) Nadeja of Ringgold, Georgia, and Richard (Mary) Nadeja of Sandpoint, Idaho. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers Edward W. Nadeja, Donald Nadeja, and her sisters Edna M. Hopkinson and Jeanette Kosola.

There will be calling hours on Monday January 7, 2019 from 5-8 PM and prayers on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 9:15 AM at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Nancy will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home’s website at www.
