Nancy Gay Hornbuckle Moore, 80, died on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Morrison Manor. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Wike and Rev.

Dr. Drag Kimery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Born May 7, 1937 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mark Lafayette and Opal Langley Hornbuckle.

She was a very active member of First Baptist Church where she was a Deacon and also served as Chairperson of the Personnel Committee as well as the Bereavement Committee. She was considered the official photographer for Bible School and was a member of the United For Others (UFO) club. She loved technology and playing online word games with friends, shopping on the internet and downloading audible books.

She was also widely known as “Momcat”. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Moore of Dayton, OH and Timothy Moore of San Antonio, TX; two brothers-in-law, Frank Moore (Sybil) and Wilson Moore (Peggy) both of Laurinburg; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Moore and her sister, Mark L. Price.
