Obituary for Nancy Jane Myers Nancy J. Myers of Greensboro passed away on January 1, 2018. She was 77. She was born in St. Clair Shores, MI and was the daughter of the late James and Eleanor Tharp.

Several years after graduating from high school she worked at the U.S. Navel Anx. Air Station in Fallon, NV for 5 years then moved to Florida where she worked at Fairchild Aircraft for another 5 years. She relocated to Maryland in the early 1970’s and was employed by Waverly Press/Cadmus for almost 25 years.

She retired in 2001. Nancy enjoyed many hobbies over the years: photography, oil painting, crocheting, cross stitching, scrapbooking and crossword puzzles (the harder the better). In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Christopher W. Fazenbaker, Jr., husband John W. Myers, and her daughter Yvonne M. Scott.

She is survived by her daughter Kelly Fazenbaker (Chris) of Greensboro, MD and stepson Ronald Scott, Jr. (Heather) of New Lisbon, WI; four brothers John Tharp (Mary) of Watertown, NY, Richard Tharp (Anna) of Odenton, MD, Larry and David Tharp of Easton, MD; grandchildren Amanda Scott, Jason Scott, Abigail Borman, Emma Bryant, JC Bryant, Sarah Fazenbaker and Benjamin Fazenbaker. Also, her two special friends Sharon Kleczynski of Ridgely, MD and Sharon Lotridge of of Glass Lake, MI. Funeral services will be held at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD on Monday, January 7, 2018 at 11:00 with a visitation one hour prior with Reverend Denzil Cheek officiating.

Interment will follow at Greensboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Compass Regional Hospice at 160 Coursevall Drive, Centreville, Maryland 21617. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Nancy Jane Myers please visit our Sympathy Store.
