Nancy’s Obituary On Wednesday, January 23, 2019 Nancy Ann Powell transitioned from her earthly home and peacefully went on to her heavenly home. After a brief illness, God knew her health was not going to get better and to keep his child from suffering, he called her home to unite with all those who preceded her and to give her rest and peace. Nancy Ann Powell, affectionately known to many as “Red” was born on April 23, 1948 to the late James and Alberta Powell.

She confessed her faith in Christ at a young age at Mt. Zion, M.B. Church in Wilmot, MS under the leadership of Rev. E.L. Johnson.

After moving to Greenville, she joined Jake’s Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.W. Watson in Greenville, MS. Nancy never gave birth to any children of her own; however, she was a mother to all of her sisters and brothers kids, whom they called “TT RED”.

She was affectionately known for loving her family, and her dedication to taking care of her family members when in need, and most of all her humorous sayings.
