Nancy’s Obituary FARMINGTON: Nancy (Smith) Sabonis, age 84, entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2019, at Touchpoints at Farmington. She was the beloved wife of the late Gary Sabonis. Mrs. Sabonis was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire on December 7, 1934, daughter of the late Clesen and Winifred Smith.

She was employed as the Head of the Housekeeping Department at Mrs. Porter’s School in Farmington for over twenty years, until her retirement. Nancy had a special place in her heart for cats, especially coming to their rescue and finding them a home. She is survived by daughters, Mary Clough of Orleans, MA and Kate Clough of Eastham, MA, sisters, Cathy Muckler of New Port Richey, FL, Susan Waltke of Salem, CT and Janet Taylor of Milford, Maine, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Smith and a sister, Charlotte Hoyt. Her inurnment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plainville will take place in the springtime. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
