Nancy Simmons Walters, 51, of Hope Mills passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Nancy was a teacher in the Cumberland County School System for many years. Most of her years teaching at Brentwood Elementary and Gallberry Farm Elementary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry Walters; her parents, Tonnie M. and Juanita J. Simmons; and sister, Karen S. Allee. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Krista Johnson and husband, Brent; granddaughters, Alicen Grace Johnson and Emma Kay Johnson; step-daughter, Tangela Walters; step-son, Garrett Walters; brothers, Stephen M. Simmons, John C. Simmons and wife, Lynda and James E. Simmons. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the service and the funeral home.
