Nancy M. Stowell, age 82, passed away at the St. Johnsbury Health & Rehab Center, Thursday evening, November 1, 2018, following a long period of declining health. Nancy was born in Bennington, VT, on June 20, 1936, daughter to the late George Edward and Gladys (Surdam) Jepson. She was raised and educated there and while working at Polygraphic, a greeting card company in Bennington, she met Bernard William Stowell.

They married on April 25 1964. They lived in Bennington and later in Boston for 2 years before coming to Lyndonville to settle down and raise a family. Nancy enjoyed gardening, soap operas, her cats, reading Harlequin romance novels and being outside.

She is survived by her 2 sons: Lawrence Stowell of Lyndonville and Steven Stowell of St. Johnsbury and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 6 siblings: Joyce Adams, Norma Taylor, Phyllis Pratt, Ross Jepson, and Raymond and Donald Martin. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Guibord Funeral Home located at the corner of Center and Main Streets in Lyndonville, VT.

Burial will follow at the Lyndon Center Cemetery. There will be no Calling Hours.
