Nancy Emery Peterson passed away peacefully on September 19, 2018. She was born in Valley City on September 21, 1934. She graduated from College High, in Valley City, in 1951 and then attended and graduated from Valley City State College.

She married Boyd Peterson in 1956. They spent their married years living in Minnesota and Washington. Nancy was many things to many people: wife and mother, teacher, friend, mentor, advocate, confidante, champion for the arts, and a beacon of empathy.

She will be greatly missed by everyone she touched. Her life will be celebrated on October 21, at 2:00 PM, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, in Issaquah, Washington. Please visit www.
