OBITUARY Narciso S. Irias November 1, 1937 – December 24, 2018 Narciso S. Irias, known to his family and friends as “Chicho,” passed away in Murfreesboro, TN on December 24, 2018, at the age of 81 years. He was a native of Lepaterique, Honduras. He moved to New Orleans, LA in May of 1963.

He was a resident of Metairie, LA for 36 years. In 1969, Chicho founded Irias Auto Works, a Mercedes Benz repair shop that served the New Orleans area up until his retirement in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Concepcion (Concha) Irias and his two children, Susana Donaghey and David Irias.

Chicho will also be fondly remembered by his two grandchildren, Stephen and Elizabeth, his son-in-law Johnnie Donaghey, and his daughter-in-law Kathleen Daugherty. Chicho will also be forever remembered by his sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. A celebration of Chicho’s life will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchratrain Blvd.

on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
