Nathan Thomas Pickett September 12, 1927 – December 20, 2018 Nathan Thomas Pickett, Jr, 91 passed away on Thursday December 20, 2018 after a prolonged illness. He served in the U. S. Army, worked at the American Can Company and Public Grain Elevator in New Orleans. He was a custodian at FBC Slidell and owned a landscaping company until his retirement in 2017.

He was son of Nathan Pickett and Myrtis Lowe. He was brother of Joeanne Arnold and the late Norma Joy. He was the husband of Paula Fourtenbary Pickett for 56 years; father of David Brian Pickett (Laura) and had two granddaughters (Rebekah and Hannah).

He was active at First Baptist Slidell as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Visitation Leader and was Spiritual leader of his home. He was a lifelong student of the Scriptures. Born: September 12, 1927 Death: December 20, 2018 Graveside services will be at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 9:00 AM.

Visitation will be held First Baptist Slidell at 10:00 AM with celebration service to follow at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www. stjude.org) , FBC Slidell Benevolence or Pantry Fund are preferred.
