Nellie Alice Stodder July 15, 1937 – May 03, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Nellie Alice Stodder, age 81, of Sweetwater passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, Texas. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Ryan Strebeck officiating. McCoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alice was born July 15, 1937 in Long Beach, California to the late Frederick John and Mary Alice (Endsley) Wadelin. She married Homer Fredrick Dodge May 15, 1954 in Hawaii and Art Stodder April 30, 1966 in Connecticut. She had lived in California, Hawaii, Connecticut, New Mexico and Texas, was a homemaker and was a Hallmark Merchandiser.

Alice is survived by her daughters; Diana A. Fessler and husband John of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Deborah A. Johnson and husband Earl of Raton, New Mexico, Donna A. Tipton and husband Alan of Sweetwater, Texas, Sharon L. Stodder and fiancé Dan Hall of Eloy, Arizona, brother; Fred Wadelin, Jr of Zepher Hills, Florida, six grandchildren; E.J. Johnson and wife Camille, Corey Johnson and wife Ann, Cathie Fessler, Tori Paravato and husband Frankie, Alicia Finn and husband Slade, Hailee Tipton, Colby Hall and two great grandchildren; Hailey and Morgan. She is also preceded in death by her first husband; Homer Fredrick Dodge, second husband; Art Stodder, granddaughter; Karalynn R. Finn, brother; Chuck Wadelin and her step-mother Lurena Wadelin. Memorials may be made to; Moriarty Bell Choir, Bethel United Methodist Church, 2700 NM-333, Moriarty, New Mexico 87035 or Southeast Elementary Project Read, 1201 Mustang Dr., Sweetwater, Texas 79556.
