Benson, NC: Mrs. Nellie “Nell” Holloman Godwin, age, 75 of 3818 Benson-Hardee Road died Friday at her residence. Funeral Service will be 3:00-PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.

Mrs. Godwin was born May 1, 1943 in Duplin County to the late Perry and Estelle Thompson Holloman. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Holloman. Mrs. Godwin retired from Wachovia Bank with over 25 years of service.

After retirement, Mrs. Godwin was known for all her delicious goodies that she loved to make. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, L. W. Godwin, Jr.; son, Greg Godwin of Benson and significant other, Amanda Wicker of Wake Forest; brother, James Holloman of Fuquay Varina; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 1:30 PM-2:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
