Obituary for Nicholas George Pappaianou “Papa Niko” Nicholas George Pappaianou “Papa Niko” Age 71 passed away Friday October 12, 2018 at his residence in Shorewood, IL. A Veteran serving US Marines Corps 1964 to 1968. Nicholas is a man who loved his family, Marines Corps, a good meal and Horse betting (quite possibly in that order).

A man who blasted his music throughout the house and who was never afraid to break out into dance. He had an infectious laugh, big heart and always the life of the party. His friends and family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Virginia Pappaianou; daughters Virginia F. Pappaianou and Nicki (Jason) Thomas; grandchildren Niko, Ethan and Gianna. Preceded in death by his parents Platon and Mae Pappaianou. Visitation Saturday October 13, 2018 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm with a service to begin at 1:00 pm at Anderson Memorial Home, 21131 W. Renwick Rd.
