Nicole’s Obituary Nicole Angelina Mares, age 36 passed way on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in the comfort of her home. Nicole was born on January 4, 1982 in Raton, New Mexico to parents Anthony J. and Clara J. Mares. Nicole was a United States Veteran, member of the United States Navy.

Nicole was also a very devoted fan of the New York Yankees baseball team. Nicole was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Eugene and Lucy Herrera, and paternal grandmother, Mabel Nolan, all of Raton, New Mexico. Survivors include parents Anthony J. and Clara J. Mares, sister Naomi A. Mares, niece Joslin M. Mascarenas, former brother in-law, Justin Macarenas all of Raton, New Mexico.

Her beloved pet Chihuahua Princess, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as numerous friends also survive. Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patricks’/St. Josephs’ Church, in Raton, New Mexico, recited by Clara Ortega. Followed by The Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patricks’/St. Josephs Catholic Church, Raton, New Mexico, with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant.

Rite of Committal and Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements for Nicole Angelina Mares are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
