Nile F. Long, age 90, of Guest Rd. , Jefferson, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Jefferson Healthcare Center. He was born on January 28, 1929 in Milton, WVA, the son of Arthur B. & Velma B. (Lowe) Long.

He worked maintenance for Sany Metal Products for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Esther M. Long of Jefferson; children, Arthur D. Long of Jefferson, Velma M. (Tracy) Gallaher of Mentor, Delores J. “Jeanie” (Dan) Burd of Beckley, WVA; brother, Tom (Carol) Long of Jefferson; sisters, Becky (Jess) Wright of TN, Charlotte Thomas of VA, Freeda Clark of TN; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilford Long, Guy Long, Clifton Long, Baby girl Long, Johnny Long, Rex Long; sister Jean Hancock. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 4:00-5:30 P. M. prior to the service. Funeral services will take place Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 5:30 P. M. at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio 44047, with Pastor Dan Burd officiating.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Bella Care Hospice, 1933 St. Rt. 45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010.
