Nina M. Huss, 77, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away early Monday, April 29, 2019 at her daughter’s residence. Nina was born February 26, 1942 in Sullivan, Indiana, to the late Oakley Glen and Sedgret (Pierson) Rogers. Nina married Bobby J. Dean in November of 1960.

She then married Russell Huss in 1997; he passed away in March of 2014. She was employed as a server for thirty years at Bonnie Doon in South Bend. Nina enjoyed shopping and going to casinos.

Surviving are her five daughters, Karen Zakowski of South Bend; Sheryl (Mike) Gardner of Cassopolis, Michigan; Shelly Christensen of South Bend; Teresa (Jeff Morrow) Drury of South Bend; and Mary Morrow of South Bend; sixteen grandchildren, and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, James Monroe (Margaret) Rogers of Sullivan, Indiana, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nina was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Dean; two sons-in-law, Bruce Drury and Rick Fuentes; and a brother, Oakley “Lewis” Rogers.

A celebration of Nina’s life with family and friends will be held from 2:00pm on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at DeAmici’s Italian Club, 302 W. 11th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
