Obituary for Nolan Craig Killebrew Nolan Craig Killebrew went to be with his Lord on 5 June 2018 in El Paso, Texas. Craig was born on 18 February 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William O. and Loree S. Killebrew. Craig lived life to the fullest with a positive outlook that things would always turn out for the best.

He served in Vietnam with the 1st Calvary Division as a Reconnaissance Team Leader. Due to his leadership, valor and bravery he was awarded Purple Heart, Bronze Star for Valor, several Air Medals for Valor, the Combat Infantry Badge along with numerous other awards and decorations. After his military service, he continued supporting the Army as a civilian employee in Military housing management until his retirement.

His true passion in life was music. He learned guitar when he was 13 years old and continued to play throughout his life. He was a member of several successful bands and recorded two albums with the Mason Dixon Line and two 45s with the ‘Yes It Is’.

He assembled a beautiful collection of guitars and was always ready to show them off. He loved his God, his family, and his country. He was a true gentleman and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 44 years, Soo; and his brother, William Murray Killebrew. He is survived by his daughter, Susan, of El Paso, Texas; stepson, Pyong Chol Lim (Sunny), of Dallas, Texas; brother Ronald W. Killebrew (Hwa Cha) of Seoul, Korea; sister Gloria Killebrew Phillips (Richard) of Birmingham, Alabama; nephews, Nathanial, Ron, Cade and Blake; niece, Loree; step-granddaughter Olivia and numerous cousins and friends. A Celebration of his life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr, El Paso, Tx 79904 at 4-6 pm, Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
