She was born February 2, 1927, in the township of Blackfork, Arkansas, to William Hammond and Virginia Cline Hammond. Visitation: Tuesday, March 5, 2019 6-8 PM, White’s Funeral Home – Springtown Funeral Service: Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 2 PM, Whites Funeral Chapel Interment: Springtown Cemetery Nora was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Springtown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nomer P. Upshaw; and brothers, Dennis Hammond and Paul Hammond . Her survivors are sons, Lindsey Upshaw and wife, Bobbie, Mark Upshaw and wife, Martha; Daughter Brenda Thornton; 9 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great Grandchildren.
