In the sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life we announce that Norma Lee Murr Henry of Cayce died Tuesday July 3, 2018, under the care of the staff at Lexington Extended Care after battling Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born at home on February 24, 1932, in Telford, TN to Jesse and Bertie Murr. She graduated from Washington College Academy (High School) and Steed College of Technology.

She worked with Sperry in Bristol, TN until her children were born. She was a long time member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Cayce. She was a talented pianist and organist and choir member.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband Ray, whom she married on January 1, 1953; children: Denise, David (Samantha), grandchildren: Joshua White, Katie White Dunn (Brittain), Erica Henry, Jacob Henry, Darcee Henry, and great grandsons Milan and Ibra Sanchez Henry, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Lexington Extended Care, Spence Place.

The visitation will be on Friday July 6 at 10:00 with service following at 11:00 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 1301 12th St, Cayce, SC. Burial will take place at 2:00 on Sunday July 8, at Telford United Methodist Church cemetery in Telford, TN. Friends can donate to the following in her memory: Sister Care, Inc. or Alzheimer’s Association SC Chapter.
