Bowdoin, Maine – Norma L. Huston , 89, died May 5, 2018 in her home. She was born June 20, 1928, in Solvay, New York, the daughter of Henry and Ethel Luetchford. She went to heaven on her 67th wedding anniversary.

Norma graduated from Solvay High School in 1946, and Syracuse School of Nursing in 1950. While attending the university she met Albert R Huston on a blind date for the Vallentine Ball and married him upon graduation. Albert preceded her by 11 years.

Albert and Norma are survived, by their 3 children and 1 foster daughter : a son Kim Huston, and daughter-in-law, Joan Huston who lives in Silverdale, Washington, and 2 daughters; Kay Stevens who lives in Bowdoin, Maine, Susan Huston who lives in Kent, Ohio, and Kathy Gans and her husband Tom who live in Circleville Ohio. They have 11 grandchildren: Tom (in New York, New York), Christy and Amanda (in Silverdale, Washington), Eric (Aruba), Glen and Emily (Bowdoin, Maine), Megan (New York, New York), Jennifer (Shanghai, China), Tiffany, Chris, and Monica ( Circleville, Ohio) There are 7 great grandchildren, Colby, Madison, Laura, Rick, Connor, Shakti, and Katrina. Norma is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and their families.

Norma worked as a registered nurse in Syracuse, New York, and Marietta, Ohio. The job she held for her entire adult life and enjoyed 99% of the time was mother and wife. She was a highly accomplished seamstress, and knitter.

Her entire family and many friends enjoyed hand knit sweaters and mittens.
