Lillian Karass, 90, died peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Topsham, Maine. She was born in Boston, MA, on March 22, 1928, the daughter of Morris & Ann (Berman) Rich. She grew up in Boston, graduating from high school, class of 1946.

On September 10, 1949, she married the love of her life, Paul Karass and the couple moved to Bath, Maine in 1955 to raise their family. They were married for 69 wonderful years. She loved her children, taking part in all aspects of their school life and extra-curricular activities.

Lilian was very proud of her family. She couldn’t wait to see new pictures of her “Grands”. She believed in giving back to the community so she volunteered both at the soup kitchen and at the senior center.

She was predeceased by her husband Paul; her parents, Anna and Morris and her siblings, Eleanor, Ruthie and Bill. Lillian Karass is survived by her son, Edward Karass and his wife Sue of Boise, Idaho; her daughter, Gail Tarmey and her husband, Jake of Danvers, MA; her daughter, Marsha Emery and her husband Tim of Wiscasset, Maine; and her son, Mark Karass and his wife Andrea of Scarborough, Maine. Lillian is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Stephanie, John, Ben, Anna, Jamie, Lauren and Melissa; and her six great grandchildren.
