Obituary for Norma L. Robertson (Norman) Norma L. Robertson, 84, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at her residence in Ventura, California. Norma was born on March 17, 1934, in Harrisburg, Illinois, to Lonnie Edward Norman and Reba Margaret (Teal) Norman Morber. She was a graduate of Murphysboro Township High School class of 1952.

She enjoyed painting shirts, gardening, and playing bridge. Mrs. Robertson was a secretary in the Department of Nursing for twenty one and half years at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. Norma married Harold Gidcumb Robertson on October 29, 1955, in Wheaton, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2011.

She is survived by one daughter Marsha Robertson of Ventura, CA; one nephew Danny (Cyndi) Cochran of Murphysboro and one niece Kelly (Jay) Gilmore of Riverview, FL; and much loved friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Marilyn Sue Cochran. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home and burial at Mt.

Joy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
