Norman Dale Irvin, Sr. October 10, 1943 – May 28, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Norman Dale Irvin, Sr., 75, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at his home surrounded by family. Norman Dale Irvin, Sr. was born October 10, 1943 in Elsberry, MO, to Samuel Leroy Irvin and Laura Edna Bell Hardin Irvin. He retired from being a Park Ranger at Graham’s Cave State Park at Danville, MO.

Mr. Irvin enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, and being with his family. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Irvin is survived by his children: Rilla May Harlan and husband, John, of Warrenton, MO; Norman Dale Irvin, Jr., and wife, Billie Jo, of Bellflower, MO; Robert Wade Irvin and wife, Mamie, of Montgomery City, MO; Roberta Charlene Irvin of Warrenton, MO; and Billy Sanford Irvin and wife, Vilma, of Bellflower, MO; step-daughter, Tina Dodd of Florida; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and two on the way.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Albert Irvin of Barry, IL; Bob Irvin of Louisiana, MO; Alice Dawson of Louisiana, MO; Velma McCormack of Wyoming; and Doris Silvey of Santa Fe, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Leroy and Laura Edna Bell Hardin Irvin; life partner, Grace Eisenhauer; step-son, Jeffrey Dodd; brothers: Donald Irvin, Samuel Irvin, and Delmer Irvin; and one sister, Edna Harvey. Funeral services will be Friday, May 31, 2019 at noon at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.

Interment will be in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Oscar Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.

Casketbearers include Cody Spurlock, Bruce Irvin, Shannon Grooms, Chaz Davis, Austin Grooms, and Damien Irvin. Memorial contributions may be made for funeral expenses, c/o Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
