Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation at the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden, on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 6-9 PM. The funeral begins on Saturday, March 30, 2019, leaving the funeral home at 9:15 AM for a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph the Carpenter Roman Catholic Church in Roselle, NJ at 10 AM.

Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ. Odette was born on January 10, 1929 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, came to the U.S. in 1970, settling in Elizabeth, NJ for 18 years, resided in Roselle for 27 years, and moved to Linden 1 year ago. She enjoyed sewing, attending church, and was a great cook.

She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and her Goddaughter. Odette was predeceased by her beloved husband Rene J. Charles on November 7, 1995, her daughter, Marie Marcelin in 2005, and her mother, Marguerite Bien-Aime in 1982, her sister, Ann Marie Casseus, and her brother, Lucien Edme. Surviving are her 4 loving daughters, Kettly Charles Lefevre & her husband Wernz, Renee Charles, Yolette Charles de Moya, & Denise Charles, her special Goddaughter, Karling Murat, 11 grandchildren, Werkz, Nadeige, Nina, Tiffanie, Ernst, Ashley, Eric, Yolande, Lindy, Christine,& Lucien, Jr., 9 great grandchildren, her special nieces, Rachelle & Fabiola, her special nephew, Lucien Edme & his wife Magalie, and the Casseus, Marcelin, Murat, Jones, Atisme-Olivier, & Fresnel Families, and many other nieces & nephews.
