Odilia P. Camara, age 89, of East Transit Street, Providence, died March 19, 2019 at the Roger Williams Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Jose Pedro Camara. Odilia was born in Sao Miguel, Azores on March 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Jose Botelho Paulo and the late Brasilina (Sousa) Paulo.

She had worked as an assembler for Hasbro Industries for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed her flower gardens and most importantly time shared with her family. She is survived by her children; Lucia Cabral and husband Joseph of Pawtucket, Gilda Boudreau and husband William Jr. of Coventry, James Camara and wife Marsha of Johnston, her seven grandchildren; Joseph Goncalves, Anissa Boudreau, Andrew Cabral, Jason Cabral, James Camara, Jr., Brandon Camara and Nicholas Camara.

She was the sister of Conceicao Cordeiro of East Providence and the late Diniz Paulo, Eduardo Paulo, Manuel Paulo, Idalina Paulo and Ilda Martins. Her funeral will begin on Monday (3/25) at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence.

Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday (3/24) from 5-8pm. To send flowers or a remembrance gift to the family of Odilia Camara, please visit our Tribute Store.
