Olga Magyar, 93, of Torrington, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, December 5th, at Regal Health Center. She was the wife of the late Ernest Paul Magyar. Olga was born in Dixon City, PA on February 3, 1925, a of the late Catherine (Okelovitch) and Michael Wanas.

She is survived by a son, Mark Magyar of Hercules CA, and a daughter Karen Witkowski and husband Arthur of Goshen, grandchildren Christopher and wife Bonnie Witkowski of Alberta Cananda, and Liz and husband Colin Graham of Bristol. She also leaves great grandchildren Daniel and Isaac Witkowski and Finegan and Pearl Graham. Also surviving are brothers Joseph Wanas of Straford and Alexander Wanas of PA.

and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers William, John, Paul, Michael, and Walter and sisters Anna Roman, Mary Kotch, Helen Shurminsky, Julie Bakos, and Antonia Raguskas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 12th at Saint Thomas Church in Goshen, CT.

Friends may call prior to the Mass from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 12th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT Interment at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Easton will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions can be made to Vitas Healthcare Hospice 199 Park Rd Ext. Middlebury CT 06762.
