OLIVE HAZEL GREVE, age 98, of Luverne, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Home in Luverne. She was born May 15, 1920, in Grenora, ND, to John and Hazel (Oakes) Fremstad. She attended school in Grenora.

Olive married Fred Greve on July 21, 1940, in Rock Rapids, IA. The couple lived in Adrian for a few years before moving to Luverne in 1948. The family moved to Magnolia in 1970.

After Fred’s death, Olive moved to Luverne. Olive worked various jobs in the area including day care, Campbell’s Soup in Worthington and the Magnolia Steak House. She became a resident of the Mary Jane Brown Home in 2012.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Magnolia where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Olive was also a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and baking cookies.

Olive is survived by her four children, Wesley (Nancy) Greve, Hutchinson; Marlene Nytes, New Prague; Curtis (Georgia) Greve, Luverne; and Linda Jordan, Luverne; eight grandchildren, Sue (Phil) Forcier, Karen Greve, Cory (Jen) Greve, Debra Nytes, Allison (Christopher) Olson, Kristen (Bill) Gullicks, Christopher (Juliana) Greve and Lisa (Bryce) Stoltenberg; thirteen great-grandchildren, Jessica (Randy), Melissa (Louis), Matthew (Chrissy), Ada, Andrew, Abby, Brady, Ellie, Libby, Audrey, Justin, Cole and Elliot; seven great-great-grandchildren, Aspen, Jack, Olive, Willow, Reagon, Nora and Max; four sisters, Josie Haney, Spokane, WA; Norma (Herb) Brown, Independence, MO; Carol (Don) Jackson, San Antonio, TX; and Mary (Don) Mitchell, Lacona, IA; a brother, Don (Jo) Fremstad, Kearneysville, WV; and a sister-in-law, Donna Fremstad, Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred on November 13, 1990; a daughter, Sharon Greve in 1990; two sisters, Laurel Olson and Phyllis Reed; a brother, Kermit Fremstad; an infant sister, Eleanor; and a son-in-law, Charles Nytes. Funeral will be 1 pm Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Luverne, officiated by Pastor Kristi Franken.
