Oliver Joseph “Pookie” Bourgeois III, 70, on Friday, January 25, 2019 accepted God’s invitation to everlasting life. Pookie was a Navy Veteran and a registered nurse. Services pending.

He is survived by his brothers, Robert, Richard, David, Francis, and Lawrence Bourgeois; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and his friends at St. Joseph Manor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver J. Bourgeois, Jr. and Claudia Shaw Bourgeois; and nieces, Rani Bourgeois and Lisa Bourgeois. The family would like to thank the Lafourche Home for the Aged and St. Catherine’s Hospice for their care and support.
