Obituary for Oliver Judson Pressler Oliver Judson Pressler, age 94, born January 31, 1924 in West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2018 surrounded by family. Preceded in death by parents Oliver and Hazel Pressler, and brother, Robert L. Survived by wife of 75 years, Dorothy E. Pressler and four children, Robert G. (Eileen), Janet S., Cynthia K. Salyer, and Timothy W. (Judith), seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was a graduate of West Jefferson High School in 1941 and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He was employed by Sears Roebuck Service and part-time for Prairie Township Fire Department for 33 years, retiring as Deputy Chief. He was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of New Rome. Calling hours at Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger (Hilltop Chapel), 3030 West Broad Street, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 6-8 PM and St. Paul Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Avenue, Thursday May 31, 2018 from 9-10 AM with funeral services to follow at 10:30 AM.

Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery. Donations may be made in Oliver’s memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church of New Rome. www.
