Obituary for Opal “Annette” Gibson (Stanley) Opal “Annette” Gibson, age 78, died peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born in Denton County, Texas to Nolan and Annabell (Bishop) Stanley on July 16, 1939. Annette was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and 2 beloved dogs Lucy and Paris.

She is preceded in death by both parents, step mother Darwin Stanley and brother Ray Stanley. Left to cherish her memory is son Shawn Gibson and his significant partner Shellie Davis; grandson Shane Gibson; cousins Mark Bishop, Francene Neely and Earlene Neely along with numerous extended loving family and friends. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 N. MacArthur Blvd.

in Irving. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Oak Grove Memorial Garden, 1413 E. Irving Blvd. The family request memorial donations to the American Cancer Society at www.
