Obituary for Pamela McBride Pamela McBride, 89, of Minden passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Bethany Home in Minden. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the Minden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peter Choi officiating.

Private family inurnment will be held prior to services at the Minden Cemetery. There will be no visitation as the family is honoring Pam’s wish to be cremated. Memorials in Pam’s honor are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pam was born on Jan 26, 1929 in Ferry Hill, England the oldest of three children of Charles and Sylvia (Darnborough) Mason. She grew up in England and worked briefly as a draftsman before coming to Minden in 1950 to visit her Uncle Tom and Etta Mason.

While in Minden she met and married James McBride. They farmed near Axtell for several years before moving back to Minden in 1965. Most of her life was devoted to her family; she was a very private person and always put others before herself.

Pam had been an active member of her church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Karen and Rod Flesner, Brian McBride, Linda and Darrel Novacek, David McBride and Debbie and Tim Thramer, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and brother Tony and Dorothy Mason. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, daughter Susan, one grandson, 3 great grandchildren and her sister Shirley Astbury.
