Obituary for Mrs. Pamela Nathalie Murray Pamela Murray – Our Warrior Pamela Nathalie Dudlene Murray, was born on August 30, 1966 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Kent and Angela Clare. Her story started off with her being brought home on a pillow, as she was born at only 6 months, a premature baby, with much care and attention needed. Her mother, and all the family alike, was so protective of her, nurturing her into one of the strongest, most graceful souls anyone would come to know.
She attended Bernice Yorke preschool, and then All Saints’ Primary School, during this time she had hobbies such as playing the piano, under the tutorship of Ms. Floss Cassasola. Later she moved on to what was known as Sec. II, now Gwen Lizarraga High School.
After her high school years, she attended Belize Technical College, graduating at the age of 17 with an associate degree. Pam then migrated to Brooklyn, New York with her father where she attended The American Business Institute, taking courses in Typing, Office Practice, earning top honors in her class. In 1984 she met the love of her life, her biggest support system, the one she often said “I nuh know what ah woulda do without ah” Mark Alexander Murray.
They had a wonderful fun-filled courtship, which she shared with those closest to her, resulted in one of the biggest whoopings her father would give her, we’ll leave that story for another time. They were engaged and later got married March 21st, 1987, resulting in 3 beautiful kids Mark Jr., Michelle Thomas and Melanie Murray. Pam was always extremely ambitious, always wanting to provide the best for her family, in all areas.
As children we were always taught that if she had it, it was ours, if not, when she had it, it would be. Pam made sure that her children knew and took in the values instilled in her by her own parents, especially “The Golden Rule – Behavior” that her father guaranteed we knew first hand. She has always been known to keep her home exceptionally stylishly designed, at a deal of course, but we all know she spared none for the things she really wanted, and always remember, no shoes on her carpet, which followed through up to very recently.
In her later years, Pam simply enjoyed the company of family, good friends and loved ones in general, always planning the next trip, get together or notable family event coming up, especially birthdays and holidays. One thing, throughout the years, she was always known to share her true opinion, never allowing for someone to guess what she was feeling at the time. Her battle with the dreaded terminal illness of breast cancer, was one undoubtedly she overcame.
Though it may seem she succumb to such, in reality she won, never letting it dictate her life and how she wanted to live it. I think we can all say, she did it her way, from a dietary plan to her medication schedule, she managed the doctors, nurses and medication according to her own feeling and that was never to be questioned. She truly was a warrior to the very end, never giving up, she truly went out like a diva!
In addition to her husband, Pam leaves to mourn: three children; 6 grandchildren; 4 brothers; 8 sisters; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives. She truly will be missed, a true warrior, trooper and fighter to the end. Pamela Murray, sunrise August 30th, 1966, sunset December 14th, 2018.
May she rest in eternal peace and rise in everlasting glory! Funeral services for Pam will be on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the International Community Church, 123 Byte Dr, Frederick, MD 21702 at 11:00 AM, with public viewing to begin at 9:30 AM. The family will receive friends at 10 AM.
