A homegoing celebration for Ms. Pamelyn Jackson of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 will be held on Saturday, May 5th, 11:00 a.m. at New Life Tabernacle UPC, 6912 Williams Rd, Seffner, FL 33584, Pastor Rashidi Collins, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Pamelyn was born on November 15, 1964 in Tampa, Florida to Ms. Louise Jackson and Mr. Jerald Burton.
After spending 53 wonderful years in the care and company of loved ones and friends, the remarkable life and legacy of Pamelyn Jackson, affectionately known as “Ms. Pam”, came to an earthly end. With sweet surrender, she answered her heavenly father’s call to eternal rest. Sister Jackson united in fellowship approximately ten years ago with her New Life Tabernacle UPC family.
Her greatest desire as a church member was her underlying faith and desire to please God. She always encouraged her children and family to establish a personal relationship with the true and living God. To those she was acquainted, she always stressed the importance of being baptized in Jesus’ name and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, as evidenced by speaking in tongues, so that one day, we too, can dwell with Him in Heaven.
Ms. Jackson attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. For more than twenty years, she was employed by the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families where she recently retired. On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, after enduring the spiritual race of life, the flood gates opened and called our beloved home.
There she will be reunited with her grandmother; Bertha Mae Jackson, her adopted father; Arthur Lee Chisolm, uncles; William and Willie Jackson, aunts; Lou Jean Gaines and Ollie Mae Jackson, all whom proceeded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories, a dedicated and devoted daughter; Shantell Davis (Robert), a caring and affectionate son; Rashad Jackson (Nicky), 3 adoring grandchildren; Rashad Jr., Rashana and Rakayla Jackson, a loving mother; Louise Jackson, 3 brothers; Rickey Chisolm, Steve Jackson and Corey Hill, 3 sisters; Sheila Jackson, Angela Jackson (Eddie), and TaQuisha Chisolm, aunt; Frances Poole, uncles; Charlie Jackson, Robert Jackson, Joe Jackson, Tony Jackson and Ben Jackson, 3 nieces; Keneisha Jackson (Homer), LaTroya Davis and Breanna King, 3 nephews; Malcolm Jackson, Tranorris Jackson and Cameron Jackson-Freeman, a host of cousins, the Pooles, Gaines, Jackson and Chisolm families, special friends; Andy Wells, Alexia Baker, Stephanie Jackson-Jones, Renee McKenzie, Dondrea Grace, Shawanda Hightower, Roberta Smith, Michelle Pereira, Davis/Lane family and a host of sorrowing friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
