POWELL, Ronald Grant, age 71, of Brandon died Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Mr. Powell served proudly for over 20 years as a U.S. Marine and was the All Marine Tennis Champion. As a civilian he worked as a computer programmer for government contractors including Honeywell, Wang and Keane Corps and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints volunteering countless hours at the Temple in Orlando.

Preceded in death by his son, Glen Lee Powell, he is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Virginia Louise Powell, son, Steven Joseph Powell, daughter and son-in-law, Jenny Marie & Kevin Johnson and ten siblings, Karen Carbine, Lora Hofmann, Donna Bradshaw, Denise Hamilton, Craig Powell, Yvonne Nickels, Elon Simonson, John Powell, Richard Powell, and David Powell. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1412 John Moore Road, Brandon Interment with full military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
