A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Marine Askiew of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 will be held on Saturday, June 12th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. , Rev. Joseph Reed pastor, officiating.

The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Marine Askiews life began on January 9, 1923 in Gadsden County, Florida. She was born to the late ralph Rawls and Hurlie Barber Rawls.

She attended the public schools of Gadsden County. She was married to the late Edward Veto Askiew, Jr. for over 76 years, who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her precious memoires with her devoted daughters, Dorothy Askiew, Debra Brown and Sharon Peterson; devoted sons, Carl Askiew (Siobhan), Stanley Askiew and Marvin Askiew (Elvelyn); devoted granddaughters, Felicia Jones (Terry, Sr.), Kimberly Askiew McNeal, Shanborya Abua Sailor (Ladeitriech); devoted grandsons, Carl Askiew, Sr. and Kelvin Askiew, Sr.; devoted sister, Pearlie Mae Bouie of Chattoochee, Florida; devoted friends, Martha Tompson, Rev.

Joseph Reed, Betty Wilcox, Hires Family, Anderson and Cruse family and a host of many other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
