A homegoing celebration for Mr. John Michael O’Neal of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 will be held Saturday, June 16th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd. , Pastor Rodney Williams and Pastor Marilynn Williams, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. John Michael O’Neal was born March 17, 1966 to Johnny and Louise O’Neal. He attended George W. Monroe, Quincy Middle School, Carter Parramore and graduated from James A. Shanks High School, class of 1984. He served in the military and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He was an active and devoted member of The Kingdom Living Church of God and the Gordnaires Gospel singers. He was also a loyal, truehearted, devoted, dedicated Miami Hurricane football fan. He moved to Tampa, Florida in 2011 and married, Barbra Butler in 2012.

He loved his wife, and family and was a God-fearing man. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome O’Neal. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving and devoted wife, Barbra Butler-O’Neal; parents, Johnny and Louise O’Neal; daughters, Je’Naye, Nicole, Arielle, Brittne, Je’Naiya and Asia O’Neal; step-children, Brandi and Bre’Annah West and James Durant; grandchildren, Rhyon Ryles, Iyana Wells, Brooklyn Dockery, Bryan Owens, Destyni and Alyx; brothers, Lamar, Chris and Alvin O’Neal (Kandi); mother-in-law, Cora Mae Butler; sisters-in-law, Kayla Bell (Joe) and Cashara Butler; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special relatives and friends, The Kingdom Church of God, Cookie Gordon, Uncle Pete, Autis Gibson, Sr. (Ranshell), Pastor Greg Taylor (Michelle), Kim and Tashee Jackson, Karl and Maryann Reed, Quinton Sylvester, O’Neal, Butler, Branton, Goodson, Smith and Thomas families, Global TPA family, Alphonso and Willie Mae Young, Miami Hurricane family, Autis Gibson, Jr., Spencer Wilson, Sr., Spencer Wilson, Jr., James, Frank and Antonio Miller, Jamal Brown, Randolph Jones, Howard Radford, Willie, George and Frank Miller; a host of other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
