S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family. Pastor Pineda Avellaneda, 53, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 3:00 pm at the S. Connor Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Valdez Pineda of the home; sons, Thomas Emanuel Pineda, Jesus Pastor Pineda, and Eric Cruz Pineda from Snow Hill; one daughter, Kristina Nicole Pineda also from Snow Hill. His parents, Tomos Pineda Santos and Minerva Avellaneda from Florida; brothers Rumaldo Pineda Avellaneda, Alejandro Pineda Avellaneda, Nicolos Pineda Avellaneda, Felipe Pineda Avellaneda, Casimiro Pineda Avellaneda, and Roman Pineda Avellaneda all from Florida; sisters, Maria Felix Pineda Avellaneda, Eva Pineda Avellaneda, Antonia Pineda Avellaneda, Carmela Pineda Avellaneda, and Onoria Pineda Avellaneda all from Florida along with a host of other relatives and friends.
