Mrs. Patricia Ann Carter, 68, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Carter was born September 12, 1949 in Cass, WV. to the late Oliver H. Tacy and Anna Mae Geiger Tacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael W. Carter Jr Mrs. Carter was married to her husband, Mike Carter, for 54 years. Mrs. Carter moved to Swainsboro in 1969, she was a hard worker, working hard all of her life.

Mrs. Carter enjoyed gardening, and fishing. She loved her children, grandchildren, and was a good wife and mother. Survivors include her husband, Mike Carter of Swainsboro Ga; daughter, Betty Jo Reese (Ben Brewer) of Adrian GA; brothers, Douglas Tacy of Stafford VA, Tommy (Lolita) Tacy of Jacksonville FL; Sisters, Wanda Tobin (Joe) of Huston TX, Janice (Butch) Fogle of Fredrick MD; grandchildren, Wes (Kristie) Johnson and Wade Reese all of Adrian; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jade Johnson and Kaden Michael Johnson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy (Joyce) Carter; nephew T. J. Carter; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating. Interment will follow at Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 1-hour prior service at Chapman Funeral Home.
