Mr. Danny Joe Mason,75, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Community Hospice following an extended illness. Mr. Mason was born October 9, 1943 in Kite, Ga. to the late Jay C. Mason and Pauline McCoy Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Barney Mason, Sammy Mason, Grable Mason, Paul Mason, and Junior Mason; sister, Jane Mason. Mr. Mason was retired from Continental Can with 17 years and was the owner and operator of Mason Logging for many years. He enjoyed fishing, outdoors, hanging out with his friends, and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.

Survivors include his daughter, Danette Mason Brooks (Sandy); Danette’s mother, Joan Meeks Mason; brothers, Howard Mason and Wayne Mason (Tricia); sisters, Patsy Colston (Johnnie) and Linda Mason; grandchildren, Adrian Page (Scott), Justin Sowell (Kelly), and Chandler Brooks (Meagan); great-grandchildren, Johnny Page, Raelynn Brooks, and Noah Sowell; many friends. Graveside Service will be at Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 with Rev. Reece Mincey officiating.
