Patricia Dale “Patti” Kiefer, 75, resident of Fort Washington, PA, formerly of Parklsey, VA, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. Born September 3, 1943 in Catonsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late William James Kiefer, Sr. and Rose Watkins Kiefer Mott. Following graduation from Parksley High School, Patti pursued her dream of becoming a teacher, receiving her degree in Elementary Education from Gwynedd Mercy University, in Gwynedd Valley, PA.

Patti worked for the Wissahickon School District, in Ambler, PA, where she was a beloved kindergarten teacher for several decades. Her kind and loving nature was a true gift to her students, family, and friends and was evident to those she taught, in the care she provided to her mother, and in the homemade crafts she graciously shared with loved ones. Patti is survived by her two sisters-in-law, Karen Crim and her husband Glenn II, of Fox Grove, Parksley and Agnes Gaylor of England.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William James “Billy” Kiefer, Jr.; uncle, Elsworth Watkins; aunt, Jessie Fay Grigsby; and niece, Diana Michelle Kiefer. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverends Alan Layman and Andrew Matthews officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 156, Parksley, VA 23421.
