Patricia Ione Leavitt April 15, 1935 ~ June 22, 2018 Patricia Ione Leavitt, 83, or Washington Terrace passed away peacefully with her family by her side of natural causes. She was born April 15, 1935, the daughter of Jens Lang Simonsen and Ione Russell. She was raised in Willard, Utah and graduated from Box Elder High School.

On June 16, 1976, Pat married her sweetheart, Rodney Morris Leavitt in Elko, Nevada. She was widowed in 2001. Pat retired from Hill Air Force Base after 27 years.

She was a member of the Washington Terrace 6th Ward. Pat loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would enjoy having all ten granddaughters at her house for sleepovers.

Pat and Rod loved to go fishing and camping. They also shared this time with the grandchildren. She is survived by three sons and three daughters: Cheryl Wilmot, Washington Terrace; Ron (Terri) McCoy, Ogden; Dave (Lori) McCoy, Roy; Jeanine (Danny) West, Farr West; Terri Jensen, Washington Terrace; Tony Mosher, Roy; brothers: Dennis (Beth) Simonsen, Clinton; Charles (Marco) Simonsen, California; Karlene (Alan) Tingey, Willard; Jerene (Troy) Burbank, Willard; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Irene Simonsen; husband, Rod Leavitt; son-in-laws, Terry Wilmot and Welsey Jensen; brothers: Larry Simonsen and Russell Simonsen; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Pineview Rehab center for taking care of our mom.
