Patricia Lee Scoville, of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2019 at the age of 66. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Barton and father, George Barton, as well as her brothers Charles and Buddy. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mark Scoville, son Nick, daughters Kristen, Erin, and Kaitlyn, grandchildren Collin, Ian, and Cassidy, sisters Carol Ann and Mary, brothers Jimmy and Danny, along with numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved Yorkie “Maddie”.

Pat was a dedicated government employee giving 38 years of hard work as a professional at the Environmental Protection Agency before retiring in August 2018. Through her years of service, she formed many strong friendships and joined her colleagues in playing in their intramural softball league. When Pat wasn’t at work, you could find her enjoying one of her many hobbies including going to the beach.

She loved making memories with her family while soaking up the sun and seeking relaxation in the sound of the waves crashing. She was also an avid reader and passed her love of books down to her children who often enjoyed reading books by the same authors that she enjoyed. Many who knew Pat could attest to her cooking and baking skills.

She sought creativity in the kitchen and thankfully passed those skills down to her children. Pat was also an avid homemaker who took great pride in her home, knowing that she always wanted to make a great impression on visitors while creating a loving environment for her children. All of these qualities made her a beloved wife and mother.

Her other favorite past times included attending family crab feasts, relaxing outdoors, and gardening. With that in mind, we ask family and friends, when outside, to stop and smell the flowers in memory of her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 4PM at Fellowship Church, 9805 Faith Baptist Church Road, White Plains, Maryland 20695.

In lieu of flowers, Pat’s family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Lupus foundation. (www. lupus.org).
