Obituary for Patricia “Pat” Ann Miller Patricia Ann Miller passed away on June 7, 2018 at the age of 80 years old. Patricia Ann Gooden was born June 22, 1937 in Polk County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois to Yale “Lyman” and Hazel (White) Gooden. The family moved to Minot, North Dakota where Pat attended school and graduated from Minot High.

After high school she attended University of North Dakota, where she met her future husband Jim. Jim and Pat were married in Minot, ND on September 20, 1959. They resided in Valley City, ND until the time of her death.

Pat enjoyed spending time traveling, baking Christmas goodies, wintering at Lake Havasu, spending summers at Lake Ashtabula and caring for her dogs and grand dogs. Pat is survived by husband, Jim Miller, three sons, Jeffrey (Gail) Miller, Randy (Bobbie Jo) Miller, Steven (Rebecca) Miller; six grandchildren, Kari Jo, Joseph (Olivia), Dustin, Brandon, Emily & Amanda Miller; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Oehrlein. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Yale & Hazel Gooden, mother-in-law and father- in-law, Dewey & Jennie Miller, and brother-in-law Jerry Miller.

The funeral service for Pat will be 10 am Monday, June 11, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City. Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Sunday at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City and will continue one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City.
