Obituary for Patricia “Pat” Ann Taylor Patricia Ann “PAT” Henderson Hunter Taylor, 77, went to be with her Heavenly Father June 28, 2018. She was a resident of Searcy, Arkansas for the past 50+ years. Pat was born in Nashville, Arkansas, July 11, 1940, to Coy and Netse Dean Bennett Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Taylor; ex-husband, Thomas Lee Hunter; brother, Edgar Thomas Henderson. She is survived by her three sons, Jerry Thomas Hunter of Oklahoma City, James Michael Hunter of Los Gatos, California, John Christopher Hunter and wife, Annette of Stella, Missouri; two step daughters, Kelly Taylor Curd and husband, Scott of Bald Knob and Brandon Taylor Kidd of Kensett. She was blessed with four grandsons, Jack Bloome, Jake, Gabriel and Chase Hunter; six granddaughters, Megan Hunter Golowenski, Leigh Ann Hunter, Tiffany Wright, Stacie Hall, Taylor and Rylee Curd; four great-grandsons, Hayden and Harley Hall, Mykel and Harold Wright; two great-granddaughters, Hayleigh Hall, Gwyn Wright and a new addition expected in early September, Kaisley Golowenski; best friend, partner in crime and daughter she never had, “ Lil Pat” Gifford.
She also leaves behind two brothers, Milton Louis Henderson and wife, Pat, of Pineville, Louisiana and Denzil Leon Henderson and wife, Louise, of Jena, Louisiana; five nieces, three nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews. Pat let some of her ambitions be known while she was still in high school. She wanted to get her RN degree, her MRS Degree and her MOM degree in that order.
She had never thought about how well she would enjoy the Grandma degree. She graduated from the Arkansas Baptist Hospital School of Nursing program in 1960 and received her RN license. She received her MRS degree in 1960 and her first of three MOM degrees in 1962.
She spent her life caring for others. She was proud of her work history of being able to practice her nursing profession for 50+ years. She was a member of the ANHNA.
Along the way she received her EMT license as well as her Nursing Home Administrator License. She had been a member of the White County Sherriff’s Auxiliary Deputies as well as a Deputy Coroner and a WCMC Auxiliary member at one time. She was a member of the Little Red RV Club and proud of her membership in the Order of Eastern Star.
Pat was a Baptist and believed in her GOD and His Angels and was often heard telling others they should not hold grudges or have hard feelings about wrongs others may do unto you. “Let God take care of them. He will always do a better job than you can ever imagine”, and she really believed this.
Her favorite song was “When I Get Where I’m Going”. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob – Judsonia.
