Patricia was born on June 9, 1927 in the city of Pittsburgh. She survived her late husband Walter Rau, to later marry Chester Mentkowski who has also passed.

She leaves behind her step-daughters Linda (Ralph) Black and Barbara Welka; grandchildren Ralph Black, Shelly Black and Adam Thomas; a special niece Emma Jean Kraus and a brother-in-law Fred Rau along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 3201 Dobson Street, Polish Hill on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Gateway Hospice for their kind support.
