Patrick Michael O’Connor, loved by many, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on October 31, 2018 at his home. He was 60 years old. He was born on April 7, 1958 to Charles Frederick IV and Mary Jane (Griffus) O’Connor.

He was a proud 1976 graduate of Buena Vista High School. Upon graduation he received his associate degree from Delta College. Patrick married Chris Ann Carlton on September 27, 1986.

He was employed as a retail manager with K-Mart for over 30 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Fishing Has No Boundaries, Great Lakes PACE, as well as several area stroke support groups. Patrick enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar, fishing and was a dedicated Detroit Lions fan.

He was also proud of being the Vice President of his high school graduating class and was actively involved in coordinating events for his classmates. He is survived by his wife, Chris; his two sons, Ryan Patrick (Tanya Langlois) O’Connor and Sean Michael O’Connor; a granddaughter, Madelyn O’Connor; four siblings, Charles V (Donna) O’Connor, Dawn Adams, Bob (Cheryl) O’Connor, and Lori (Jerry) Symons; a mother-in-law, Carol Ann Carlton; a brother-in-law, Dusty (Kathie) Carlton; a sister-in-law Sue Miller; many nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends and caregivers. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Ronald W. Carlton.

A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Rd, Saginaw, MI. Pastor JD Howell will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome to visit at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, MI, Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. He will lie in state at the church on Friday from noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials be made to Fishing Has No Boundaries or the Stroke Support Groups at HealthSource of Saginaw or Covenant Healthcare.
