Obituary for Patrick Somerville March 10, 1957 June 2, 2018 Patrick “Rick” Clark Somerville passed away on June 2, 2018 peacefully at his home with family & friends by his side. Rick was born on March 10, 1957 to Clark and Helen Somerville. Rick graduated from Cartersville High School West Georgia College.

He was married to Anne Brewster Somerville for 28 years. Anne passed away in Feb. 2008.

They had two sons Ryan & Connor Somerville, after Anne’s passing Rick was reunited with his high school sweetheart Carrie Dial after 33 years. They married on April 29, 2009. They moved to Pawleys Island, SC where they opened up Commercial Tire Repair.

Rick was a compassionate man. He loved with a deep love. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, son in-law, step father, brother in-law, uncle & poppee.

He loved his boat , fishing, being on the ocean and entertaining friends and family. His dream of living near the ocean became a reality when he moved to Pawleys Island. He was preceded in death by his parents Clark & Helen Somerville, his first wife Anne Brewster Somerville, father in-law Edward Brewster and father in-law Jack Dial.

He is survived by his wife Carrie Dial Somerville, two sons Ryan (Shanah) Somerville of Cary N.C. Connor Somerville & fiancé Annie Thompson of Birmingham Alabama, step son Clint Mathis of Wichito Falls Texas. Grandchildren Baylor Somerville, Jason Mathis, Ella and Olivia Hoyt. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Rome, Ga.
