OBITUARY Patty Petersen February 14, 1952 – July 12, 2018 Patty Petersen, 66, of Trinity, FL, formally of Waukee, IA, passed away and entered God’s heavenly kingdom on July 12, 2018 in Tarpon Springs, FL. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at McLaren’s Chapel in West Des Moines, starting at 1 p.m. with a visitation at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Dallas Center at the Brethren Cemetery. Patty was born in Des Moines to Eldred “Pete” and Thelma Petersen.

She was a registered nurse, with focus later in her career, counseling veterans. Patty had a passion for animals, culinary arts, and her family. She is survived by her son, John (Kim); brother, Daryl “Pete” (Sue); nieces, Christy (Kyle) Dilks and Carrie Petersen.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Puppy by Jake or Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
